??長沙醫是經教育部批準的民辦全日制普通高等學校。

??長沙醫前身是何彬生教授于1989年創辦的湘南中等衛生職業技術學校,1996年更名為湘南衛生中等專業學校,1999年升格為湘南醫學高等專科學校,2001年校本部遷至長沙市,2005年經教育部批準升格為長沙醫。2006年獲得湖南省民辦學校稱號,2011年通過教育部本科教學工作合格評估,2015年通過教育部臨床醫學專業認證,2017年列入湖南省碩士學位授予單位建設點。

??成人高等教育招生對象為承認學歷的各類高、中等學校在校(在籍)學生以外的從業人員和社會其他人員。

??報考"專升本"的考生必須是已取得經教育部審定核準的國民教育系列高等學校、高等教育自學考試機構頒發的專科畢業證書或以上畢業證書的人員。

??報考醫學門類專業的考生應具備以下條件:

??1.報考臨床醫學、口腔醫學、中醫學等臨床類專業的人員,應當取得省級衛生行政*頒發的相應類別的執業助理醫師及以上資格證書或取得認可的普通中專及以上相應專業學歷;或者縣級及以上衛生行政*頒發的鄉村醫生執業證書并具有中專學歷或中專水平證書。

??2.報考護理學專業的人員應當取得省級衛生行政*頒發的執業護士證書。
